We exhibited on world-known medical trade fair MEDICA 2019

We would like to inform our customers and other general public that our company in the period from  18th November to 21th November , 2019 participated in international trade fair MEDICA 2019.

The trade fair MEDICA,  otherwise called as World medicine forum, regularly takes place on the exhibition ground in Düsseldorf , Germany. This trade fair is focused on presentation of the companies, their novelties from the area of medicine and medical technologies. From the global point of view this trade fair ranks among the most famous and biggest event of its kind in this segment.

More than 5 200 exhibitors from 71 world countries were given possibility to present also this year their novelties, products and their renderred services to the huge number of visitors. On the other hand, all trade fair participants were given the possiblity to take part in rich program in form of great deal of technical lectures, conferences, presentations, discussions and start-ups presenting the cutting-edge HI-TECH medical solutions for the future.

One of the exhibitors was also our company ELMAX ŽILINA.

Our exhibition area was located in Hall 15 and it was alongwith exhibition area of other four significant slovak companies the part of the Slovak republic joint stand. This joint stand was organized by Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency ( SARIO) under the patronage of  Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.

ELMAX ŽILINA is export-oriented company and therefore we welcomed the opportunity of this kind of presentation. It was the main objective to use this opportunity, to present the manufacturing program of the Filtration and Extraction Equipments Division from the area of the health service, pharmacy and life science outside the Slovak republic and to use this opportunity to address new and mainly foreign prospective customer.

Our participation on this trade fair is retroactively evaluated as very good step which fared well  beyond our expectations. We enjoy great interest in our products from the side of foreign professional public, approaching lots of new customers form various corners of the world and we are also happy for positive responses on design of the presented products from the division EKOKROK - laminar boxes and safety biological boxes. We are convinced that participation on this exhibition was the great opportunity which will move us also beyond the board of the Europe.

We would like to thank all Slovak and foreign customers who found their time and visited us during this fair. And those who were not able to visit us from private or occupational reasons we will glad to welcome directly at our company.

We launched a new website!

The modernization of our products drove the need to create a new and modern presentation of them for our customers. As such, we decided to undergo the process of completely modernizing the EKOKROK website.

We’re pleased to announce the results of our efforts! The new website is fully operational and provides you with a complete overview of all our products, the services we provide, news and other information related to our company. The site has undergone a complete redesign and is more attractive, easier to use, and most importantly, more transparent. English, German, and Russian versions will be launched over time along with a configurator tool to give you the opportunity to configure your own cabinet and submit it for a custom quotation.

We exhibited in Cuba!

The 35th annual edition of the FIHAV 2017 trade fair was held in Havana, Cuba from October 30 to November 3, 2017. The breadth of the trade fair, covering all sectors of the economy, makes it the largest and most important such event of its kind in Latin America. ELMAX ŽILINA with seven other companies presented its products and services within Slovakia’s joint exhibition, which was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic in close collaboration with the Slovak Embassy in Havana and with the support of the Slovak Agency for the Development of Investment and Trade (SARIO).

The Slovak stand was formally presented under the unified slogan of “Good Idea Slovakia.” It was inaugurated on November 1, 2017 with Slovak and Cuban entrepreneurs, state officials, national media and many members of the public. The visibility of the entire trade fair was enhanced by the visit of the State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy Mr. Vojtech Ferencz to commemorate Slovakia Day and who was welcomed by his counterpart, the First Vice-Ministry for Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba, Mr. Antonio Carricarte Corona. The folk music and folk dance of the Kumšt dance group enhanced the Slovak atmosphere in the pavilion in a pleasant and attractive manner.

ELMAX ŽILINA took part in the trade mission for the purposes of taking advantage of this opportunity to reach out to potential partners, especially in the fields of pharmacology, biochemistry and biotechnology, which are the traditional pillars of Cuban industry. Interest among Cuban partners in products from the youngest part of the ELMAX ŽILINA portfolio of products, laminar flow cabinets in various categories, confirmed the correctness of this step and created the motivation to identify future steps moving forward to bring the company’s products to this promising market. The opportunity for ELMAX ŽILINA to join in a program of cooperation at the intergovernmental level, which has already kicked off in the pharmaceutical industry and within which Slovakia is collaborating with Cuba on the introduction of specialized treatment for diabetes, is another significant positive. The expansion of this cooperation to include the potential delivery of equipment to biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories has tremendous potential to assist this project even more and further strengthen bilateral collaboration.

ELMAX once again lends a helping hand to health care!

Laminar flow cabinets are an excellent product. In part because they serve and help people and also because they are used to conduct processes and created products that are necessary and beneficial for people. Many of these cabinets are used to create new drugs and therapies. Many also protect users from the harmful effects of the processed substances. They are extraordinarily important in oncology. Cabinets are used to prepare medications for oncology patients.

What kind of company would we be if we kept all these great products to ourselves? We have committed to help out wherever we’re needed every year since our acquisition of EKOKROK in 2015. We had the opportunity to help out the littlest oncology patients at the Children’s Hospital in Bratislava in 2016. We presented them with a Class II laminar flow cabinet in a ceremony. Today this cabinet is a valuable aid in the preparation of treatments for children afflicted with this disease.

This year, we decided to help out in our hometown, Žilina. We officially handed over a completely new EKOSTAR FLOW BH550 Class II laminar flow cabinet to the General Hospital in Žilina on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. The cabinet will once again be used to prepare medications for oncology patients. This time, the focus is on adults.

We believe that this cabinet will make an important contribution towards improving the care for oncology patients and increasing the level of protection for the personnel preparing these medications. We believe that this gift has a real purpose, much the same as for the Children’s Hospital in Bratislava, and will help out those who need it most.

And not to worry, we’re set to continue next year as well ...

We received an award at ELO SYS / MSV 2017!

Our company was an active participant in the ELO SYS 2017 international trade fair, which focuses on electronics, energy, lighting and telecommunications. This 23rd consecutive trade fair was held from May 23 – 26, 2017 together with the International Machine Tool Trade fair at the Agrokomplex trade fair complex in Nitra. After many years, this represented a shift away from its home trade fair location in Trenčín.

Our participation this year was a bit more exceptional than in past years. Our new EKOSTAR FLOW BH Class II laminar flow cabinets represented by the BH1300 laminar flow cabinet received the trade fair’s top award as the most successful exhibit at the trade fair, otherwise known as the STANDOUT FOR 2017 award. This award demonstrates the technological level and the quality of our products. The award was presented in person at a celebratory event to Jozef Štalmach, chairman of the company’s board of directors. This is not the first time we’ve received the very same award. The company took home the award in 2010 for the RS and RN family of cabinet-type switchboards.

Our exhibit was located in Hall B. Our booth covering 50 m2 gave visitors the opportunity to get to know the latest innovations and products produced by ELMAX ŽILINA, as well as the complete line of products produced by our subsidiary EKOKROK. Industrial exhaust and laminar flow cabinet products were exhibited.

Our company has participated over several years of the trade fair for the purposes of enhancing existing relationships with customers and attracting new and potential customers who haven’t yet heard of us.

ELMAX lends a helping hand to health care!

ELMAX ŽILINA donates a medical device worth €7,300 to the Children’s Hospital in Bratislava. The equipment is used to work with biological, chemical or other materials that need to be handled in a clean environment and to eliminate the risk of injury to health care professionals. The Bratislava-based Children’s Hospital uses the Class II biohazard laminar flow cabinet to prepare medications used in the treatment of pediatric oncology patients.

Ladislav Kužela, director of the Children’s Hospital in Bratislava, thanked ELMAX ŽILINA during the presentation of the gift and said: “This device will help us tremendously as we in our hospital treat children from birth to adulthood and we prepare medications on an individual, and essentially custom basis. We often need to reduce the concentration of a specific drug, and do so by crushing tablets or taking capsules apart and diluting them by adding adjuvants to the desired dosage. All of this must take place in a completely sterile environment.”

Chairman of the board and CEO of ELMAX ŽILINA Jozef Štalmach emphasized the importance of the smallest of patients: “We thought it most worthwhile to help in the treatment of pediatric oncology patients who have to suffer a great deal throughout this terrible disease. We think that the Department of Child Oncology and Hematology at the Children’s Hospital in Bratislava is the right place. We believe that our help will contribute to the early cure of these children and allow them to return home.”

ELMAX ŽILINA represents the only manufacturer of laminar flow cabinets of its kind for preparing medications in Slovakia. The company is currently in the process of refreshing its entire product line and modernizing individual products.
