EKOGRIND is a workbench designed to capture metal slag generated during mechanical machining of steel sheet, metal parts or weldments. The main task of the grinding table is to minimize the passage of particles from the working space outside the table and direct them into the hopper.

The skeleton of the grinding table is made of thin-walled steel profiles. The working surface consists of a hot-dip galvanized steel grate. Along the entire length of the rear part of the work surface, the table is equipped with a steel wall with inclined collision lamellas, which serve to direct the reflected particles and sparks. The sides of the table are formed by side shrink walls, which can be completely unfolded when working with longer products. Under the work surface, there is a funnel-shaped container into which larger but also smaller grinding particles fall. These are collected at the bottom, in a removable, easy-to-clean tray with a handle.

The grinding workbench is pre-prepared for connection to the central exhaust or for equipping with a CYKLOFIT or PILOFIT filter unit. Connection of one of these filter units, resp. the connection of the table to the central extraction will increase the protection of the worker during grinding or other mechanical processing of metals or other materials. The filter unit and central suction can be connected to the grinding table either directly, via a flexible hose and one of the 160 mm diameter suction nozzles located on both sides of the funnel-shaped hopper, or via a pantographic arm with suction hose and funnel-shaped chute, which attaches to back wall above the work surface. While in the first case the suction is provided from the bottom of the work grate, from the storage space, in the second case the suction is provided from above, directly from the breathing zone of the worker. In case of interest, it is possible to equip the filter unit with two hoses and thus combine the suction method. To increase the suction force from the tank space, on the other hand, it is possible to use both suction nozzles at the same time for extraction.

We produce EKOGRIND grinding workbenches in four sizes (width 1030, 1230, 1530 and 2030 mm), standard in powder coating in dark gray RAL 7016 or blue RAL 5015. If necessary, the design or equipment of the table can be solved individually , according to customer requirements.
